Terms of Service

1. Who we are

FreightAutos is a service of MilestoneBrokers LLC, a licensed property broker (USDOT 04250815). "We" and "us" in these terms mean MilestoneBrokers LLC. When you ask us for a quote or book a shipment, your agreement is with MilestoneBrokers LLC.

2. We are a broker, not a carrier

We arrange the transport of your vehicle with licensed motor carriers. We do not own or operate trucks, and we do not take possession of your vehicle. The carrier that moves your vehicle is responsible for it while it is in the carrier's care.

3. Quotes and bookings

• A quote request is not a booking. Sending our quote form does not commit you or us to a shipment.
• Prices and dates we give you are estimates based on what you tell us. They can change if the vehicle, its condition (for example, whether it runs), the locations or the dates turn out to be different.
• A shipment is booked only when we confirm it with you.

4. Your part

• Give us accurate details about the vehicle, the locations, the dates and the contacts at pickup and delivery.
• Tell us before pickup if the vehicle doesn't run, has been modified, or is larger or lower than a standard vehicle.
• Have the vehicle ready at the agreed pickup time, and have someone at pickup and at delivery to inspect the vehicle with the driver and sign the bill of lading.

5. Pickup and delivery dates

Pickup and delivery dates are estimates. Weather, traffic, road conditions and carrier schedules can change them. A date is guaranteed only if we confirm a guaranteed date for your shipment in writing.

6. Payment

How and when you pay: the price, payment method and due date are set out in writing in your booking confirmation.

7. Cancellations

You can cancel free of charge until a carrier has been assigned to your shipment. After that, a cancellation fee may apply; we tell you the amount before the cancellation takes effect.

8. Damage and claims

Inspect your vehicle with the driver at pickup and at delivery, and note any damage on the bill of lading before you sign. The carrier is responsible for loss or damage while your vehicle is in its care. Our claims page explains how to report damage and the deadlines that apply.

9. Our liability

Because we are a broker, we are not liable as a carrier for loss of or damage to your vehicle in transit. For anything else arising from our services, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid FreightAutos for arranging that shipment, except where the law does not allow such a limit. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or the cost of a rental vehicle.

10. Photos and information on this site

Photos on this site are illustrative. They don't show our own equipment, because we don't own any, and they don't show a specific customer's shipment.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and by applicable federal law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force on the day you book applies to that shipment, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
